From December 28, 2004 until January 25, 2005 we visited Thailand again. Due to the effects of the Tsunami to the West coast of Thailand on December 26 we had to change our schedule completely and decided to stay one week more in Bangkok before we went to Koh Samui, an island in the Gulf of Thailand which is located on the East coast off Suratthani. In Bangkok we catched the opportunity to visit a snake farm with its many venemonous snakes and saw how they win the poison for antidotal medical productions. Later on we visited the amazing King’s palace with his many temples, statues and paintings followed by a visit of the famous temple Wat Poh with its sleeping Buddha. At January 10 we left Bangkok to get to Koh Samui to try to do our best of our situation. There Chaluay applied for a PADI Open Water course unfortunately under very hard conditions. The visibility was beween 1 and 10 m. So we decided not to continue with Scuba Diving and prefered to discover the island. Koh Samui is well supported by hotels, restaurants, shops and shopping centers. Fortunately they don’t built up houses higher then 2 floors. Inside the island we discovered very beautiful and native places away from any civilisation.
