In the winter of 1997/98 we have taken a leave of absence from work and spent this time for travel to the wonderful region of South Pacific. We have started our trip from Frankfurt with stop-over in Los Angeles before we arrived at Fiji Islands. Here we discovered the beautiful landscape above and underwater of and around the island “Taveuni”. Our next destination was French Polynesia. After our arrival at Papeete, the capitol of FP we spent some days to discover Tahiti. After few days we decided to move to Moorea. Here we were deep impressed about the wonderful landscape and its mountains with embedded waterfalls. After some great days and spectecular dives we flew to NewZealand to start our roundtrip with a camper mobile. After exploring Auckland we went to our next destination Cape Reinga in the North of the North island. Then we have visited our friend Michael Kemmerer in Ahipara who relocated from Germany to NewZealand in 1995. After spending some pleasant days together, we drove to Wellington in the South, where we ferried accross the channel to the South island of NewZealand. We decided to take the West coast first because of its more beautiful and wilder landscape. On our way we passed the glaciers, where we had a breathtaking scenic flight with a helicopter to see the Franz-Josef-Glacier before we hit the beautiful and famous fjord Milford Sound. Our holiday was running to its end we shortened the way directly to the West coast. There we had a boat ride and a scenic flight to join whale watching. All pictures are outsourced stillpictures from the video. The video is categorized to travel movie and nature movie. Unfortunately I had no videohousing to catch all dive impressions with my video camera.
